About the Role:
The IT Specialist is responsible for the effective operation of IT services and support across the organization. The IT Specialist serves as a technical expert for the development, implementation, management, and support of systems and networks. The IT specialist plans and carries out exciting, complex assignments and develops new methods and approaches in a wide variety of IT specialties. They evaluate new and enhanced approaches to deliver IT services; test and optimize the functionality of systems, networks, and data; and define technical requirements. The Information Technology Specialist is responsible for providing various forms of computer-related technical assistance and improving the efficiency of the work of the staff
through the use of technology.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist users with account setup, password resets and basic system configurations
  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues
  • Assist in the installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software components
  • Perform routine checks and updates on systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, escalating problems when necessary
  • Collaborate with senior IT team members to troubleshoot complex problems and find effective solutions
  • Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures, configurations and issue resolutions
  • Assist in updating and expanding the IT knowledge base
  • Work closely with team members on IT projects, providing support and contributing to project success
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and stay current with industry trends
  • Assis in implementing and maintaining security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches
  • Follow security best practices and contribute to a secure IT environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of IT concepts and principles
  • Familiarity with hardware components and peripherals
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Exposure to troubleshooting common software applications
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

  • Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America
  • High School diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field

  • Experience with Windows Server operation system
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 account administration

Physical Requirements:
  • Requires walking and standing continuously throughout the day
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push up to 40+ pounds on a regular basis
  • Requires working under stressful conditions to meet deadlines and company needs
