Job description

Job Summary:
SEACORP is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Software Engineer to join their growing team. The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that support mission-critical defense applications.
Responsibilities:
• Participates in an Agile development process to produce reliable software solutions for mission critical systems.
• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business and mission problems.
• Participates in one or all of the software disciplines available including UI, Infrastructure and back-end development.
• Interfaces with Management, Software Engineers, Systems Engineers and Test Engineers to generate thorough investigations and solutions to problems.
• Is self-motivated to explore solutions to software issues and can communicate them with the team.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses.
• At least 0-2 years’ experience and proven performance in software engineering, including problem analysis and resolution, requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing.
• Proven knowledge and experience around object-oriented programming.
• Experience with C++ and/or Java.
• Candidate should be familiar with RedHat Enterprise Linux and git.
• As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of container technologies and orchestration preferred.
• Experience with combat systems, control systems, QT, GPB, and AMQP is preferred.
• Experience with Database technologies such as Oracle, MariaDB, or MySQL.
