Description
    Serving as entry-level engineer who designs, integrates and tests Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems for U.S. Navy vessels
  • Supporting the entire development lifecycle, from installation to troubleshooting including assisting senior engineers in integrating hardware and software components for C4I systems on new and existing ships, including network operating systems and applications
  • Providing troubleshooting assistance for complex technical issues that cannot be resolved by administrators
  • Creating and updating technical artifacts, such as technical design packages including installation drawings and rack technical data packages

Requirements
  • Ability to hold a Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or related discipline) and 0-2 years of work-related experience (co-ops and internships are acceptable)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable expressing ideas and plans both verbally and in writing
  • Strong analytical skills; capable of performing a variety of technical engineering data analysis of limited scope
  • Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Microsoft Access or other database tools is beneficial
  • Academic background in circuit analysis, DC & AC (Single and Three Phase) power analysis, and communications systems to include RF analysis and design coupled with radio and RF Front End architectures
  • Must be motivated and capable of performing independent research but also possess interpersonal skills to work within a collaborative environment
Desired Skills
  • Experience developing Cable Block Diagrams or similar drawings such as Schematics or Wiring Diagrams
  • Experience developing Cable Run Sheets or similar drawings that depict cable build details and requirements
  • Experience with specifying mil-spec connectors and backshells
  • AutoCAD or similar 2D design tool
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 Engineering drawing practices
  • Familiarity with NAVY and/or ABS standards
  • Knowledge of Radio Communication Systems
  • C4I system design experience
  • Basic understanding of RF principles
