Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Treatment Mechanic to perform advanced-level work in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of water treatment systems and related infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading technical maintenance tasks and projects to support optimal plant operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex maintenance, repair, and installation of pumps, motors, valves, blowers, chemical feed systems, and other treatment equipment.
  • Diagnosing equipment and systems issues.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to support continuous plant performance and efficiency.
  • Monitors operational performance of mechanical systems and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory performance standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to water operations, including production data, maintenance logs, and regulatory documentation.
  • Provide guidance and training to entry-level technicians and staff professionals as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in water treatment operations is preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in hands-on water and/or wastewater treatment experience.
  • Thorough understanding of equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications for data management and reporting.
