Job description

6 month contract to hire

USC or GC only

Onsite - Mayfield Heights, OH

Our client is seeking an entry-level Business Analyst to support both the IT Audit/Compliance and Project Management/PMO teams. This is a great opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience across IT compliance, audit, and project management.

The role will be split approximately 50% IT Audit/Compliance and 50% Project Management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing documentation, tracking tasks, and following established processes. Prior IT audit experience is preferred but not required, as the team is willing to train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

IT Audit / Compliance – ~50%

  • Provide documentation and evidence required for internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate and manage user access reviews across various systems.
  • Review system access and help ensure appropriate segregation of duties.
  • Support controls around system changes, including ensuring developers can make program changes but cannot independently deploy changes to production.
  • Track various IT audit controls and ensure required evidence is collected and maintained on an annual basis.
  • Organize and maintain audit documentation and supporting materials.
  • Ensure audit evidence is complete, accurate, and readily available when needed.
  • Assist with additional IT audit and compliance activities as needed.
  • Work closely with the IT Audit/Compliance team and receive knowledge transfer and training from experienced team members.

Project Management / PMO – ~50%

  • Provide support to the Project Management/PMO team on various projects and initiatives.
  • Track project tasks, milestones, and other project-related information.
  • Maintain project information within the Freshworks PMO database.
  • Assist with the ongoing development and organization of the Freshworks PMO platform.
  • Support project managers with coordination and administrative activities.
  • Help ensure project tasks and deliverables are properly tracked and followed up on.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate project documentation and status information.

Ideal Candidate

  • Recent college graduate or early-career professional.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Some exposure to IT Audit, IT Compliance, Project Management, or IT Operations is a plus.
  • SOC experience is a nice-to-have.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent follow-through and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable working with documentation, processes, and structured controls.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly trainable with a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Interest in developing a career in IT Audit, Compliance, Project Management, or IT Operations.

What We're Looking For

This is not a senior-level audit position. The team is open to an early-career candidate who demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.

A candidate with some IT audit or compliance exposure would be ideal, but a strong Business Analyst or recent graduate with an interest in audit, compliance, or project management could also be a great fit. The team is willing to provide training and knowledge transfer, so attitude, organization, and trainability are more important than extensive experience.
