Summary:

AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician C. This position is an entry level position where one can gain career experience in a laboratory with direction from the Laboratory Supervisor and other Laboratory team members. The successful candidate will assist with administrative and basic laboratory activities. The successful candidates will work out of the Edmonton location.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions
  • Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal
  • Operate instruments, with guidance from senior staff perform maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting
  • Perform basic analysis
  • Report results
  • Other duties as assigned

What you bring to the table:

  • Chemical Technology Diploma or BSc. Degree in related field
  • Previous work lab experience is an asset, training will be provided
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail with good organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment

Work Environment: This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable.
