About this opportunity

Cenovus's New Grad Program aims to attract, develop and retain exceptional new grads to build a top talent pipeline for the company. The program provides new grads with a broad understanding of Cenovus's core business through challenging work assignments, training and development, field exposure, and the opportunity to develop a large network of contacts through networking and mentorship opportunities.

Our Program consists of three consecutive 12-month rotational assignments that span Cenovus's varied Well Delivery business areas. Upon completion of the three-year program, you will be matched to a permanent role within the Well Delivery organization. This role and placement will be based on business need.

The Cost Control New Grad position plays a key role in supporting Well Delivery cost structures and reporting through a defined threeyear rotational program across several areas in Well Delivery organization. In this role, learning objectives focus on building a strong understanding of Well Delivery cost structures, sub-functions, and financial reporting processes. This includes exposure to key timelines, workflows, systems, and project cost management principles. The role also provides hands-on experience with daily project cost-control activities. In addition, the Analyst will learn how project cost accruals and forecasting are created, maintained, and reported. The position further supports the development of awareness around continuous improvement and optimization opportunities. Upon completion of the rotation, the New Grad will transition into a permanent placement within the Well Delivery organization.

This role is designed as an entrylevel professional learning experience, offering broad exposure to both cost advisor and cost analyst roles and workflows.

Responsibilities may include:

  • ExecuteCost Advisor Workflowsand Cost Analyst Workflows

  • Maintain cost structures in SAP, UpCap, WellView and SiteView.

  • LEM (labor,equipment,and material)costticketverification &processing

  • Conduct cost reconciliation between Peloton's WellViewandSiteView compared to SAP.

  • Understand and improvecurrentLEMautomationtools.

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

  • Available to begin work June 2027.

  • Must have an undergraduate Finance, Commerce, or Computer Science degree obtained by May 31, 2027, and completed within the last 2 years (2025 or 2026).
