Entry Level Lab Technician

Actalent is seeking an entry level lab technician to join the R&D team at a food and beverage company. This team works on different beverage products (i.e. coffee, creamers). This individual will be working in a general scientific lab and will be optimizing and performing experiments. Preparing samples, testing samples, setting up tastings, cleaning the environment and doing technical tasting before the product goes to sensory testing. This team needs someone who is very methodical, comfortable working closely with scientists, and brings an energetic comfortability to the team. The team does lab tests like moisture, pH, titrators, particle size other tests.

The position is based in an R&D science and technology lab. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, and track analytical sample requests.
  • Perform routine in-house chemical and physical testing.
  • Prepare and conduct bench and mid-scale trials.
  • Monitor and maintain basic analytical equipment.
  • Maintain the laboratory in a safe and clean environment.
  • Accurately document analytical analysis.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.00/hr.
