SPN Networks is a Managed Services Provider specializing in Managed Services. Founded in 2002, we have experienced steady growth throughout the years by nurturing cohesive relationships with our clients. At SPN Networks, we have a close-knit team, comprised of supportive teammates who not only love to work hard to make sure our clients are supported but also enjoy unwinding at the end of the day over a meal together. Our office has an open-door policy, and we frequently solicit feedback from our employees so we can continue to grow our business and improve our service delivery.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Office Technical Assistant. The Office Technical Assistant's main areas of responsibility are to provide bench tech support, administrative and office support, and on-site IT support assistance. This is an entry-level role at SPN Networks that provides endless opportunities for career growth and advancement. Qualified candidates will have 1-3 years of customer service experience in an office setting, technical knowledge with basic troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with IT equipment procurement and inventory management. Preference will be given to recent Computer Science and Information Technology graduates and candidates with CompTIA A+ and/or MTA certifications.

Primary areas of responsibility:

  • Assisting with unboxing PCs and other devices and staging the equipment on the tech bench
  • Managing the PO system, procuring IT equipment, and managing IT inventory
  • Providing administrative support to our Service Coordinator
  • Running office errands: picking up material, dropping off equipment at the Apple Store for repair, and delivering equipment to clients and SPN Field Technicians
  • Providing on-site IT support request assistance with PC, printer, and security software deployments; assisting our Project Team; and moving IT equipment

Qualified Applicants Should Have:

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience in an office setting
  • Familiarity with IT inventory management and procurement
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to changes quickly, prioritize tasks, and work independently and on a team
  • Interpersonal skills such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer care
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
