Job description

Description:

This position is great entry level position that supports both our warehouse as well as entry level Field Tech support. This individual will pull, package and ship orders as well as maintain inventory through receiving and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory. This individual will also assist the Sr. Field Tech on Field calls helping to oversee the installation, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the traffic control equipment we sell. Lots of room for growth for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Shipping, Receiving and other basic warehouse functions.
  • Assist in oversight of installation, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of traffic control and street lighting systems.
  • Basic computer networking skills or willingness to learn.
  • Read and interpret engineering plans and installation instructions to ensure proper installation of product.
  • Maintain accurate work logs, inventory parts, order supplies, and prepare incident reports.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; technical training (electronics, electrical, or related field) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Computer management tools.
  • Excellent Communication Skills with a focus on Customer Service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software.
  • Experience: This is an entry level position. Some Warehouse/Inventory experience is a plus. Willingness to work in the warehouse as well as outdoors in a field service setting. Willingness to travel to work sites as required.
  • Certifications Required: IMSA Work Zone Safety/Temporary Traffic Control a plus. Will be required to complete this certification in the first year. Company with pay for the certification.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license; CDL required (Class B or A) with good driving record.

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be able to perform and endure the following:

  • Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lift up to 40โ€“50 lbs, occasionally up to 75โ€“100 lbs.
  • Mobility: Frequent standing (up to 8?hr/day), walking, climbing (ladders, stairs, poles, up to 120?ft), bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
  • Coordination & Dexterity: Repetitive hand/eye coordination for fine tool use, wiring, operation of controls.
  • Vision & Hearing: Good near, distance, depth perception, color vision; effective listening and verbal communication
  • Vehicle & Equipment Operation: Sit and drive company vehicles, vans and travel, sometimes up to 50% of work time; sit for prolonged periods during transit.
  • Environmental Conditions: Work outdoors in varied weather (heat, cold, rain, wind, smoke, etc.), potentially hazardous conditions, confined spaces, trenches, or elevated platforms.
  • Protective Equipment: Proper use of PPE (hard hats, gloves, high-visibility gear, or hearing/eye protection as needed).
