Job description

Job Summary:
Netpace Inc. is committed to creating maximum value for telecom operators, enterprises, and consumers through innovative solutions and services. The Computer Vision Researcher will conduct applied research in Computer Vision and Machine Learning, developing algorithms and systems for real-world applications, while collaborating with academic partners and contributing to open-source communities.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop computer vision algorithms, systems, and products, such as face recognition, face attribute recognition, object detection, image recognition/segmentation/understanding, object tracking, video understanding, action recognition, and pose estimation
• Conduct research on computer vision and deep learning algorithms to solve real-world problems
• Implement research papers and build prototypes
• Work with collaborating teams and provide technical assistance
Qualifications:
Required:
• BS, MS or above in Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or related fields
• Good understanding of common computer vision and machine learning algorithms as well as popular platform
• Skills with C/C++ or other programming language, as well as Python or other similar scripting language
• Familiar with at least one mainstream deep learning frameworks, such as Caffe, Tensorflow, Karas and MXNet
• 1+ year experience in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning
Preferred:
• PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or related fields
• Experience in front-end visualization/HCI and/or back-end database practice
• Experience with building backend service with Django, Flask, etc.
• Experience with cloud and mobile computing
• Publications in top-tier computer vision and machine learning conferences and journals
• Experience in Open Source Big Data Ecosystem
• Experience with industrial practice of linear algebra, deep learning, statistics
