Job Summary

The Software Engineer I is an essential member of the Software Development team, responsible for assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. This entry to junior level role focuses on writing clean code, learning modern integration methodologies, and supporting the seamless flow of data between systems. Working primarily with ColdFusion and React, this role supports building and debugging applications that drive business operations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented developer who is eager to grow technical skills in a collaborative, software centric environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Development Support: Write and maintain clean, scalable code using ColdFusion, React, and various frontend frameworks.
  • API & Integrations: Assist in creating and configuring system integrations using APIs, webhooks, and automated data exports.
  • Maintenance & Debugging: Revise, update, and refactor existing code to improve functionality and fix bugs.
  • Frontend Implementation: Develop and enhance user interfaces for nationwide enterprise applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor application logs and system health to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Data Handling: Execute basic database tasks and queries using MySQL resources.
  • Automation: Monitor automation scripts to ensure successful execution and apply fixes under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Documentation: Assist in creating and updating technical documentation and user guides.
  • Technical Support: Collaborate with the Customer Service Team to troubleshoot application-level issues and identify root causes.
  • Version Control: Use Git and ticket tracking software (e.g., Jira) to manage code changes and daily tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Foundational Tech: Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6).
  • Frameworks: Familiarity with React, Bootstrap, or jQuery.
