Job description

The Opportunity:

LDIS LLC, a Tetra Tech Company, provides integrated engineering and design solutions for Renewable Natural Gas Processing, Carbon Capture and Sequestration, Upstream and Midstream Oil and Gas facilities, and Pharmaceuticals. Our team meets these changing needs by being a trusted partner to each of our clients.

Your Role:

The EntryLevel Electrical & Instrumentation Drafter provides CAD support to the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) disciplines under the supervision of Engineers and Lead Designers. This position is intended for earlycareer professionals developing foundational drafting, design, and project execution skills. The Drafter I contributes to construction drawings and related deliverables while learning industry standards, company procedures, and best practices. This role offers a growth path toward increased technical responsibility and design complexity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work under the supervision of Engineers and Lead Designers to prepare project deliverables based on red lined drawings or using designs from similar projects that have already been executed.

  • Understand schedules and progress tracking.

  • Multitasking, working on more than 1 project at the same time.

  • Self checking of work products.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with design teams and other disciplines.

  • Develop and improve technical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Postsecondary training a plus)

  • 0-2 years of drafting or design experience

  • Basic proficiency with CAD software packages

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

  • Ability to accept direction, feedback, and mentorship

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Exposure to Electrical and/or Instrumentation drafting

  • Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu

  • Familiarity with Autodesk Navisworks Freedom

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams

Target Salary Range: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour. Please note that Tetra Tech considers numerous factors in determining pay, including but not limited to education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms.

  • Constantly use hands to keyboard or type, handle materials, or manipulate objects.

  • Light work that includes lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds and, occasionally, up to 50 pounds.

  • Frequently moving about to accomplish tasks.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this classification include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing abilities required by this classification includes those which permit the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively in person and by telephone.

  • Requires composure and ability to prioritize and manage several urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a prominent level of competence and accuracy.

Work Environment / Environmental Factors:

Environmental factors mostly consist of work being conducted in an indoor office environment, but are not limited to extreme temperatures (e.g., cold, heat), fumes, variable weather conditions, outdoor work, and noise due to some travel & work on worksites.
