Manufacturing Systems Engineer 1 - Data Visualization in  GAC Savannah


Unique Skills:

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Technology, Quality Management or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Entry level position. Position Purpose: Under moderate supervision, assist with evaluating, configuring, documenting, deploying, maintaining, upgrading, training and troubleshooting ERP, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Operations Process Management (OPM) software systems, along with all other interfaced and integrated software applications and associated business processes.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
  1. Under moderate supervision, assist in defining data and system requirements, developing interface and integration requirements, and assist in authoring requirements documents, conceptual design documents, and process maps.
  2. Assist the team in developing application concepts and designs that meet user and business needs. .
  3. Assist in authoring acceptance test plans and conducting testing of new/revised functionality and software upgrades.
  4. Assist users as needed to respond to questions, provide ad hoc education, and assist in reporting technical issues to BT.
  5. Assist in authoring user manuals, specific to the manufacturing software application and associated interfaces.
  6. Assist in developing training curriculum, training materials, workshop exercises, and conduct user training when required.
  7. Assist the team in the implementation of software upgrades, enhancements and new functionality.
  8. Assist in oversight and enforcement of all applicable software security guidelines. .
  9. Assist in data management, mining and governance activities within ERP, MES, or OPM systems.
  10. Assist in the creation and maintenance of documented business processes and procedures.
  11. Utilize lean principles in the development of future processes to ensure effective and efficient business performance.
Additional Functions:
  1. Ensure software applications and processes implemented are compliant with internal/external regulatory requirements. .
Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements:
  1. Proven computer literacy with specific skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and MS Project.
  2. Must have good interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and possess a general understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and MES/OPM Systems.
  3. Ability to work with database experts, systems users and colleagues, in a professional manner.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
