College and Trade School grads encouraged to apply! No sales experience required, will train the right candidate!

General Description:

Responsible for providing overall sales support to President, VP of Sales, and selected sales team members as well as the responsibility for assigned EKSP customer accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide sales support for President and VP of Sales, including creating reports and inventory lists, completing customer quotations, entering Job control Documents

· Regular communication with President and VP of Sales and assigned customer accounts

· Aid selected sales team members in areas of order entry, reports/lists, customer communication

· Assist with customer drawings of cut parts for steel plate processing quotations per customer drawings or customer approved EKSP drawing based on customer description.

· Communication with sales team leader and salespeople regarding customer drawings as needed.

· Ensure that all customer orders are given prompt attention and recognize the priorities to enable accurate scheduling consistent with customer demand, customer satisfaction, and EKSP objectives.

· Assist and participate in material sales.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skill Sets:

· Excellent oral and written communications skills

· Good problem-solving skills and strong initiative / “can do” attitude

· Good interpersonal skills, phone manners and the ability to work with others

· Good organizational, planning and time management skills

· Excellent computer skills, including comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.

· Prior experience with a construction or engineering firm preferred

· Ability to read and decipher blueprints a plus

· Prior experience with DraftSight, and/or ProNest is a plus, but not required

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience with a construction or engineering firm preferred

As a steel service center and distributor of hot-rolled prime and non-prime steel plate, Eddie Kane Steel sells on- and off-gauge, pattern and non-pattern plate sizes, ranging in thickness from 3/16 to 8 inches. Eddie Kane Steel maintains a diverse inventory of prime and non-prime steel plate and, for its strategic customer partners, stock inventory of custom-made parts. Eddie Kane Steel’s processing capabilities include high-definition plasma and oxy-fuel flame cutting, shearing, bending, drilling, punching, welding, beveling, Blanchard grinding, stress relieving, and light machining. With two plasma burning machines (including high-definition plasma machines), plate thicknesses up to 14 inches can be cut. Our oxy-fuel cutting capabilities include several multi-torch multi-head machines with several hundred feet of cutting surface.
