Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a motivated and team-oriented entry-level Full Stack Web Developer to develop database‐backed web applications, public facing websites, and interface with third-party applications. In this role, you will work closely with a team of designers and developers to build functional and engaging web applications, while ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Writes clean, consistent, and well‐documented code
  • Designs, implements, tests, and maintains web applications using a variety of web technologies and libraries
  • Designs relational data models
  • Collaborates in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Builds software solutions for internal customers
  • Provides operational support for existing systems
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues
  • Gathers and evaluates user requirements and feedback with business process owners and team

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (currently completed, or completed within 6 months of posting date) in software engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related field and 0-2 years of full-time, professional web application development experience OR a master's degree and 0 years of full-time, professional web application development experience
  • Outstanding skills in two or more of the following:
    • Front-end web development
    • Application design and development
    • Back-end development
    • Relational databases
    • Software quality assurance
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self‐motivated and customer-service oriented
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles
  • Experience with responsive web design
