AXIS ENGINEERING- Maintenance Technician


RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Support the Company’s mission, vision, values, and goals in the performance of daily activities.

·       Ability to read and lay out machine footprints from a CAD drawing to accurately install equipment.

·       Ability to perform advanced mechanical installations and repairs during machine build.

·       Advanced knowledge in pneumatics with the ability to plumb machines to the designed controls print.

·       Basic electrical knowledge of high and low voltage systems.

·       Able to operate standard welding units: MIG, TIG, and oxy/acetylene torch.

·       Installs fencing and other guarding to the designed specifications and company safety standards.

·       Ability to run custom pipes on machines, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe, including black pipe and copper lines.

·       Starts machines and equipment to test operation following machine build.

·       Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, earplugs, etc.).

·       Basic ability to modify the computer-controlled motion of the robot.

·       Assists the Engineer in modifying sketches or computer-generated designs of machine components, such as pneumatic systems and machine floor layouts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Journeyman Certificate preferred.

·       Ability to read and lay out machine footprints from a CAD drawing to accurately install equipment.

·       Ability to perform advanced mechanical installations and repairs during machine build.

·       Advanced knowledge in pneumatics with the ability to plumb machines to the designed controls print.

·       Able to operate standard welding units: MIG, TIG, and oxy/acetylene torch.
