Position Summary
Grind parts to conform to blueprints/drawings
Duties and Responsibilities
The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons
• Operate grinding machines while maintaining blueprint specifications
• With assistance from the Team Lead or Supervisor, verify tolerances by performing inspection
• Report any variances to the supervisor
• Bring completed orders to shipping
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations
• Use all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and instructed

Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 1 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• Enthusiastic to learn the trade of precision grinding
• Comfort level working around machinery in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of measurement tools including micrometers (digital or dial), roundness gauge, comparator, cylindricity gauge
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English
• Computer skills, intermediate knowledge Microsoft Office
• Ability to read blueprints
• Must be able to meet quality and entry level productivity standards
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Able to stand for long periods of time
Work Environment
• Majority of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
• PPE required as determined by company safety standards: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes
