Job description

Amentum is seeking a Mission Operations Analyst - Entry Level to support the Space Force Range contract. Key Responsibilities * Operate and analyze critical real-time and near real-time Ground Based Range Safety (GBRS) computer systems including, but not limited to, Near Real Time (NRT), Distributed Range Safety Display (DRSD), and Flight Operations Version 1 (FOV1) systems in support of all phases of expendable, ballistic, manned and unmanned launch operations. * Operate GBRS computer systems to generate, analyze, and produce data products used to meet requirements. * Analyze output data products for validity and completeness. Perform in-depth processing during anomalous conditions and provide limited analytical assistance when required by Amentum internal and external customers. * Participate in a broad range of inter-disciplinary development and design activities for GBRS computer systems. This includes aiding in system and software architecture development, analyzing and evaluating between necessary and "nice to have" requirements. * Assist with building Launch Configuration files, developing launch and data reduction system requirements, and identifying and documenting solutions for instrumentation platforms and applications. * Assist with developing and maintaining appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current * Assist with setup and operating operation consoles for monitoring and analyzing the performance of GBRS computer systems in real-time and during complex simulations * Complete assigned training * Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Space Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience * Basic analysis and data reduction collection experience * Basic understanding of the operation of moderately complex post-mission software applications in the reduction of data collected in real-time for analysis of launch vehicle and range instrumentation tracking systems performance, preferred * Three (3) years of relevant experience in Range safety instrumentation systems, computer systems engineering/analysis/integration, preferred * Experience with orbital mechanics and data reduction techniques, preferred * Experience working with testing and evaluation techniques associated with acceptance of complex computer processing systems, preferred * Familiarity with Eastern Range GBRS computer systems, preferred * Possess analytical and problem-solving skills * Quality driven and customer service oriented * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Good communication skills with coworkers and management * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with unscheduled changing priorities and still meet assigned deadlines * Strong oral and technical writing capabilities to document system and operational observations * Ability to maintain a positive attitude and be reliable in a very dynamic environment * Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a diverse, team-orientated environment * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with employees and the public Additional Eligibility Qualifications * Ability to travel locally * The flexibility to work frequent non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements * Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship * Valid U.S. Driver's License * Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement Compensation Details:
