Position Title: Developer 1
Location: Atlanta, GA
Engagement Type: Contract
Work Mode: Hybrid
Duration: July 20, 2026 – June 30, 2027 (~11.5 months)
Interview Type: In Person Only

Role Overview:
This entry-level developer role, within a large state government IT department, supports software design, coding, testing, modification, and debugging under direct supervision. The resource will translate business requirements into secure, maintainable code and support configuration of a tax administration COTS application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, modify, and debug computer software under direct supervision

  • Research and analyze program or systems problems; develop program documentation

  • Translate business requirements into development activities in secure and maintainable code

  • Support configuration of all aspects of a COTS tax application (GenTax®)

Required Skills & Experience:

  • US Citizenship or Green Card (Permanent Resident) status required

  • Minimum 1 year experience in any .NET programming language

  • Minimum 1 year working knowledge of SQL

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems from an accredited institution

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated resiliency and experience working in small team environments

Preferred Skills:

  • Recent undergraduate graduate preferred

  • Prior experience in software development organizations

Additional Details:
Standard business hours, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Hybrid work arrangement. Candidates must be local to Metro Atlanta or willing to relocate to Georgia for the duration of the contract. Background check and fingerprinting required. Candidates must be compliant with Georgia state tax obligations; a Tax Clearance Letter is required at time of submission.
