Job description

This entry-level engineer is responsible for supporting production processes, learning manufacturing systems, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives under close supervision.   This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard work instructions
  • Support process troubleshooting on the production floor
  • Collect and analyze basic production data (scrap, cycle time, downtime)
  • Participate in Lean / Six Sigma projects (often as a team member)
  • Help implement process improvements and cost reduction ideas
  • Support tooling, fixtures, and equipment setup
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Work with operators and technicians to resolve day-to-day issues
