CMTA, formerly known as AMA Group, is seeking an entry level Project Engineer(s) who are passionate about hands-on learning. Whether you are interested in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing and Fire Protection design - and you've either had internship experience or looking to gain experience - we have numerous opportunities dedicated to continuous growth.
In this role you will perform a variety of routine engineering tasks following detailed instructions. You will gain experience as projects grow in complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer you will become knowledgeable of system design and communicate design concepts via sketches and renderings. In your role you will:
  • Assist in the design of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing/fire protection systems based on field of study, using AutoCAD and Revit, for a variety of projects to include but not limited to corporate interiors, facilities infrastructure redevelopment, and Core and Shell new construction
    • Mechanical engineers will become familiar with HVAC load programs
    • Electrical engineers will become familiar with electrical load calculations, feeder voltage drops, lighting control design systems, Fire Alarm system design, etc.
    • Plumbing/Fire Protection engineers will assist in hydraulic calculations for sprinkler system design
  • Learn how to identify, select, and specify equipment
  • Learn how to interpret National and local building codes
  • Attend and assist in surveys and/or construction field inspections, along with the review of contractor shop drawings
  • Be exposed to the shop drawing and submittal process
  • Meet project schedules and perform work within budget
  • Perform other engineering duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, EIT preferred
  • Previous engineering internship, a plus
  • Knowledge of the latest version of MEP Auto CAD; REVIT experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite
