Description:Join Our Team at Redwood News KIEM/KVIQ!

Redwood News KIEM/KVIQ is seeking a Part-Time Master Control Operator / News Production Assistant to support our News Production Department in Eureka, CA.

Weโ€™re looking for a detail-oriented team player to join our technical crew for fast-paced daily newscasts and additional programming as assigned.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Learn to operate our Commercial Broadcast Playback Systems to air and monitor television programming and commercials
  • Train under the Technical Director to operate studio cameras, microphones, audio consoles, broadcast switchers, and lighting equipment
  • Support live and recorded productions as part of the studio team
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite tools (a plus, but not required)
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Strong organizational skills โ€” able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
  • Attention to detail โ€” accuracy matters in live broadcast
  • Comfort using multiple computer systems
  • Broadcast experience is helpful but not required โ€” we will train the right candidate
