Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operator

Pharmaceutical Operator

Description

Multiple openings in 4x10 schedule pharmaceutical operations (manufacturing and packaging) in granulation.

The Pharmaceutical Operator will be responsible for entry level operations including equipment and facility cleaning, scale verifications and general housekeeping as assigned by the Supervisor or Group Leader. Progression will include the opportunity to disassemble and reassemble departmental equipment which may include low and high shear mixers, mills, fluid bed dryers, packaging fillers, manufacturing tanks, etc. in accordance with applicable cGMPs and SOPs. In this role, the operator will rotate to other Manufacturing or Packaging departments as determined by the needs of the business.

Skills required:

Uses computer to read, review and train on SOPs.

Builds productive, trusting, respectful relationships at all levels in the organization and must consistently act as a team player.

Works independently with minimal supervision or in a group setting.

Follows Piramal Pharma Solutions Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned or as business needs require.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in a GMP and/or DEA facility is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and occasionally move drums weighing up to 300 lbs.

Not allergic to chemicals or biosubstances found in laboratory or production facilities.

Able to work safely with heavy equipment.

Regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, feel objects, tools, controls, reach with hand and arms, talk, hear, and good vision.
