Job description

About Allied Witan Company

Allied Witan Company has built industrial noise control devices right here in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area for over 75 years, and our products are trusted in pneumatic and industrial applications across the globe. From our Atomuffler® series and Bantam® series to porous metal filters and silencers, everything we make is crafted from corrosion-resistant materials designed to last.

We work as a solid, dependable, and cohesive team that takes real pride in the work we do — and in our team members . Our environment is clean, comfortable, and collaborative, with a low turnover rate.

About the Role

We're growing our office team and looking for someone who's eager to roll up their sleeves and learn. As our Entry-Level Office/Administrative Assistant, you'll support our office, production, and shipping operations — and you'll have an integrated training plan, along with co-workers to guide you.

You'll get hands-on exposure to how a manufacturing business runs — customer orders, purchasing, production, inventory, shipping, and more. New to office work? No problem. We're genuinely happy to train the right person. If you're organized, dependable, and excited to grow, apply today!

What You'll Be Doing

You'll build your skills over time as part of a collaborative office team. Day-to-day, that looks like:

  • Data entry & order management — Enter and maintain customer, product, and work order information in Microsoft Business Central; process orders and track them through to completion
  • Customer & vendor communication — Serve as a friendly first point of contact by answering phones, responding to emails, and handling general office correspondence
  • Billing & shipping documentation — Prepare invoices, packing lists, and shipping paperwork; assist with purchasing and inventory records; keep digital and physical files organized
  • Cross-team coordination — Stay in sync with the production team on orders and schedules, and jump in on special projects and broader team needs as they come up

What We're Looking For

You don't need years of experience — just the right mindset. Here's what will help you hit the ground running:

  • Experience & tech comfort — Some office, admin, customer service, and/or manufacturing background is a plus, but we'll train the right person; comfortable on a computer and open tolearning new software, including Microsoft Business Central and Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel)
  • Detail-oriented & reliable — Sharp eye for accuracy, consistently on time, and professional in how you show up every day
  • Strong communicator — Clear and personable in both writing and conversation, whether with customers, vendors, or teammates
  • Team player who can work independently — Good at juggling priorities, pitching in where needed, and staying positive when things get busy

What We Offer

From day one:

  • Competitive starting wage based on your experience — plus real potential for pay increases and performance bonuses
  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM — enjoy your evenings and weekends
  • A guided training plan so you're never thrown in the deep end
  • A stable, established company where people genuinely build long careers
  • Front-row exposure to how a global manufacturing operation runs
  • A clean, comfortable office environment where you'll actually enjoy coming to work

After your probationary period:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid sick leave
  • Paid vacation
  • Paid holidays

Why Allied Witan Company?

This isn't your average entry-level office job. At Allied Witan Company, you'll get an inside look at every corner of a manufacturing business — from the moment a customer places an order to the day it ships out the door. You'll build skills, backed by a team that actually wants to see you grow.

We've been around for over 75 years with a strong customer and vendor network— and we're looking for someone who wants to be part of what comes next. Sound like you? We'd love to meet you!
