The Opportunity

We are seeking anIT Support Specialist I to become an integral member of our Information Technology department, supporting the technology needs and operations of a leading electrical contractor. This role is accountable to assist in solving issues with end user end user devices, systems and related servers as well as assisting the System Administration team with server, networking, security, and cloud deployment and maintenance activities.


Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving technical problems.
    • Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and emails in a timely and professional manner.
    • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
    • New hardware configuration and deployment (Laptops, Tablets, Mobile Phones etc.)
    • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
    • Support system administration tasks, including user account management, access control, and system backups.
    • Assist in maintaining server infrastructure, virtualization environments, and cloud services including system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
    • Collaborate with IT team members on project initiatives, including system deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
    • Assist in gathering requirements, conducting research, and preparing documentation for IT projects.
    • Contribute to project tasks, testing, and quality assurance activities as needed.
    • Assist in implementing and maintaining IT security measures, policies, and procedures.
    • Participate in security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities.
    • Promote awareness of cybersecurity best practices among end-users.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
    • Asset and inventory management
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
