Job description

Part Time โ€“ End User Support Analyst

We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy college student to join our IT team as an End User Support Analyst at our manufacturing facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This on-site position provides hands-on experience supporting end users in an industrial and corporate IT environment, with strong mentorship from experienced IT professionals and exposure to enterprise systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing front-line technical support to end users for PCs, laptops, peripherals, printers, network connectivity, and business applications.
  • Troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Escalating complex issues to senior IT staff as appropriate while learning best practices.
  • Assisting with on-site network and server troubleshooting and basic maintenance under the direction of the corporate IT team.
  • Supporting IT needs in both office and manufacturing floor environments.
  • Participating in IT projects, system upgrades, and equipment deployments.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of support activities and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college, university, or accredited trade or technical school pursuing a degree or certification in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site at a manufacturing facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Information Security best practices experience preferred.
  • Experience with help desk or ticketing systems preferred experience.

Mentorship & Learning Opportunities:

This position will receive direct mentorship from on-site leadership personnel, and technical mentorship from the corporate office IT team. The candidate will gain exposure to enterprise IT operations and support workflows, and develop practical technical, customer service, and problem-solving skills in a real-world setting.

  • Direct Reports: No
  • Reports to: Manager of End User Services
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds for placement and relocation of IT equipment. Work may be performed in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided where required.
