SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The Distribution Logistics and Systems Analyst is responsible for developing systems and analyses that support distribution center operations, enhancing store service levels while maximizing efficiency and reducing operational costs.

This position requires full-time on-site work at our Lancaster and West Seneca, NY locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide database and analytical support for the distribution center operations team.
  • Develop and update database structures and reports, using SQL and Visual Basic to enhance queries, forms, reports, and linked Excel files.
  • Design and implement business and system solutions based on specifications gathered from users and business requirements.
  • Develop user-friendly tools for various mainframe applications.
  • Manage the human resources associate discipline tracking database.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as requested by the operations team.
  • Build ad hoc database reports using Microsoft Access.
  • Create item attribute reports to identify data inaccuracies and update the warehouse management system.
  • Provide ongoing support to the warehouse operations team as needed.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks to meet target deadlines.
  • Maintain a high standard of attention to detail, integrity, and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a cold perishable or frozen warehouse environment if needed.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain warehouse equipment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors Degree (or progress towards a degree) in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Information Systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of relational database principles.
  • Experience with SQL Management Studio is preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience with BI applications is a plus.
  • Experience in supply chain/logistics is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to varying shifts if needed.
  • Proficient in English, with strong communication skills.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
