Job Summary
Support daily operation of campus lab computing and print facilities. Assist with the implementation of technologies and practices to continuously improve the effectiveness of service delivery and expand service offerings. Install, deploy, upgrade, and maintain software, and hardware as it relates to the computing lab facilities. Monitor student employees responsible for assisting customers.

Essential Job Functions
    • Install, diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of software and hardware, including networked peripherals.
    • Provide real-time technical support for faculty during classroom and lab sessions.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose basic problems with equipment in classrooms and labs. Performs minor maintenance and repair on equipment, as necessary.
    • Research, evaluate, and recommend solutions that will increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve service.
    • Escalate incidents and requests as appropriate to the correct Tier 2 support staff using standard procedures.
    • Follow up with customers to ensure the resolution of work orders/service tickets and pass on any feedback or suggestions to the appropriate IT teams.
    • Collaborate with the team on improving the procedures and operations of Classroom and Labs.

Minimum and Desired Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
    • Associate degree in information technology, computer science, or related field or combination of education and experience in a related field (2 years of experience = 1 year of formal education).
    • 2 years of technical and customer-focused experience. Working knowledge of current operating systems including Windows, Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and printers in classroom and lab environments.

Desired Qualifications:
    • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or HDI Desktop Support Technician or Support Center Analyst preferred.
