Job description

Location: Kaysville, Utah (Potential Hybrid Opportunity)
Employment Type: Full-Time, non-exempt
Compensation: $29-$35 an hour
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented System Administrator I to join our IT team. This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional looking to grow their knowledge and experience. (Minimum of at least 3 years of IT Helpdesk, System Administration or a combination).
The System Administrator I will provide technical support and systems administration across the organization's technology environment. This role will support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune Endpoint Management, Windows Server infrastructure, Hyper-V virtualization, networking, and end-user support. Experience in PowerShell, Power BI and SQL are a bonus.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically curious, organized, and eager to learn modern IT systems and best practices in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Microsoft Entra ID & Microsoft 365 Administration
  • Assist with user account provisioning, onboarding, offboarding, and access management
  • Support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administration including MFA, Conditional Access, and user identity troubleshooting
  • Manage Microsoft 365 licensing, group memberships, and user permissions
  • Troubleshoot authentication, email, and Microsoft 365-related issues

Endpoint Management & Windows 11 Support
  • Support device deployment and management using Microsoft Intune & Autopilot
  • Support Windows 11 endpoints, configuration & compliance policies, updates, and security baselines
  • Configure laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral hardware
  • Assist the helpdesk in maintaining IT asset inventory and lifecycle management processes

Windows Server & Virtualization
  • Assist with administration of Windows Server environments
  • Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file shares, and print services
  • Help manage and monitor Hyper-V virtual machines and infrastructure
  • Participate in server patching, maintenance, backups, and recovery procedures

Networking & Infrastructure
  • Support basic network troubleshooting including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN connectivity
  • Assist with wireless networking, switches, and firewall-related support
  • Monitor system performance and escalate infrastructure issues as needed

User Support & Help Desk
  • Provide Tier 2+ support for employees across multiple locations
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, VPN, Teams, printer, and connectivity issues
  • Respond to service requests and incidents in a timely and professional manner
  • Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both office and field personnel

Requirements
Qualifications:
Required
  • Minimum of an Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field - or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or help desk environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Experience with Windows Server administration including managing physical servers.
  • Experience supporting Windows 11 devices
  • Foundational networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

Preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune or endpoint management platforms
  • Exposure to Hyper-V or other virtualization technologies
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT documentation
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus
  • Reporting Including Power BI & SQL is a plus
