Work Arrangement
This is an onsite position.

Job Overview
A Mechanical Engineer 1 is responsible assisting with designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components. They collaborate with a team of engineers to develop innovative solutions and ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.

Essential Functions
• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for UAS platforms.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and associated product documentation.
• Support engineering changes, drawing revisions, and configuration management.
• Assist with material, hardware, and commercial component selection.
• Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and design improvements.
• Work with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve fabrication and assembly issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop reliable, manufacturable UAS systems.

Qualifications and Competencies
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar.
• Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering changes, and configuration management.
• Basic understanding of structural, thermal, and mechanical analysis concepts.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, CNC Machining, and 3D Printing

Education / Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience
• 1+ years experience in mechanical engineering or a related field
• 1+ years experience with Solidworks or similar applications
