Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for a hybrid contract opportunity in Newport News, VA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
- 2 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field; 0 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree
- Knowledge of software testing
- Knowledge of automated testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca or Opentext UFT
- Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter
- Knowledge of agile software development principles
- Logical thinking
- Problem solving abilities
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions.
- Designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensures software standards are met.
- Supporting Automated Regression testing utilizing software such as Tricentis Tosca and Opentext UFT
- Managing, writing and executing automated test scripts supporting Siemens Teamcenter
- Knowledge share test automation skills among team members
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science degree in related field is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS
5/40 workweek. First shift. 8 hours per day. Core hours 8am - 4pm. It will be hybrid with the ability to attend in-person meetings.
