Job Description:

The Security Operations Center (SOC) is the company's first line of defense in protecting L3Harris's network and corporate interests from malicious or suspicious threats in the cyber realm. Candidates must be available to work shifts, including weekends and certain holidays, to support a 24/7 schedule. 

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor the environment for suspicious and malicious activity using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) toolsets
  • Document security events and incidents within internal ticketing system
  • Analyze cyber threat intelligence reports
  • Perform first and second level incident response during incidents.
  • Investigating suspicious email submissions
  • Conduct forensic analysis on suspicious network activity
  • Perform basic malware analysis during investigations
  • Assist in implementing, operating and maintaining mission critical cybersecurity tools
  • Provide status updates on ongoing cases to team members and senior management
  • Collaborate with other teams to conduct phishing assessments and enhance user security awareness.

Qualifications:

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology/Computer Information Systems with Network Focus or Communications Focus, Electrical Engineering or have completed their Bachelor's degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
