Job Summary

Performs standard secretarial and minor clerical duties. Types letters, memorandums and reports. Performs work for one or more individuals. Uses word processing equipment and/or PC in performing assigned tasks. Answers telephone and takes and relays messages.

Position Scope

  • Types or word processes a variety of letters, memorandums, and reports in an accurate and efficient fashion.
  • Utilizes word processing equipment and/or PC in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Answers and screens telephone calls, greets and screens visitors, and provides information in accordance with organization policy. Takes and relays messages.


Requirements

  • Must be able to type 35 wpm net.
  • Must know how to use a personal computer and be familiar with most of the following software programs: WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Top Down, Quark Express, Printshop, Harvard Graphics, and Laser Award Maker.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English. Fluency in a foreign language is desirable but not required.
  • Should be a high school graduate or the equivalent.
  • Experience with programming/software development preferred.
  • Preffered Computer Science/IT Major.
