Description
Team Fishel , the Best Choice in Utility Engineering, is hiring a full time, in person, entry level CAD Survey Technician I based in our Mechanicsville, VA office. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for supporting Team Fishel's Electric utility survey division with drafting duties. This position supports the generation of base maps in support of our Design and Construction work groups. Specific survey related training will be provided.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct survey computations for boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout work
  • Process daily field data from field crews
  • Drafting to include survey base maps
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with both office staff and field crews

Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license
  • Availability to work 40+ hours a week
  • Strong math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail, with ability to self-QA/QC
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently while taking direction and training as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • AutoCAD training or certification
  • Carlson Survey experience desired

Starting pay $25 - $28 / hour depending on experience.
