Job description

Tystar is a rapidly growing manufacturer of semiconductor materials processing equipment, benefiting from the recent CHIPS and Science Act. Our products are utilized in various segments of the industry, including integrated circuits, MEMS, power semiconductor devices, opto-electronic devices, solar cells, fiber optic devices, and semiconductor materials.

Currently, we are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our engineering team.  We welcome both experienced professionals and entry-level candidates. The primary responsibilities will include system installation, troubleshooting, and repair of our equipment at customer sites. Additionally, during offsite periods, the engineer will support the production department with assembly and troubleshooting.

You will receive intensive training and education to support your job responsibilities, which include but are not limited to the following areas:

  • Diffusion/LPCVD equipment installation, repair, and service
  • PCB electronics and controller troubleshooting
  • Gas panel and gas loop plumbing
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly when not in the field

Requirements:

·        Associate’s degree in Engineering or Science

  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time (typically 1-3 weeks at a time, likely several times per year)

·        Electronics knowledge and PCB troubleshooting skill (desirable but not required)

·        Must be able to read schematics and CAD drawings

·        Ability to work well in a team

·        Problem-solving skills with attention to details

·        Experience in gas flow control and data collection (desirable but not required)

·        Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

·        Good people skills

·        Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Pay:

·        $70K+ annual salary DOE, plus benefits
