We are seeking a polished and professional Member Services Representative to join our team! The Kiawah Island Club Member Services department is the central hub of Club information for Club Members, guests, and fellow team members. Member Services plays a key role in setting the standard of excellence in service at an organization that strives to be the finest private club in the world.
Each Member Services Representative carries out a set of daily responsibilities required of the Member Services role, but also has a set of responsibilities that is unique to them. While this position is entry-level, the role of Member Services has a proven history of opening up opportunities for growth in several areas within the Club including Food & Beverage, Event Management, Marketing & Communications, Sales, Human Resources, Administration Management, etc. The training process is extensive as the role is required to work with and learn all 12+ Club departments that range widely and operate year-round: Membership, recreation (golf, tennis, pools, sporting clays club, boat club), events and youth programming, food and beverage (6+ restaurants), fitness, spa and salon, etc.
Responsibilities
- First point of contact for Members, potential new Members, and guests
- Assisting with logistics and reservations for Club events, all Club dining facilities, on- and off-Island transportation, kids programming, boat cruises, sporting club, and more
- Concierge requests and general Club and general Island inquiries
- Organizing data entry for membership, facilitating Member and guest credentials, assisting Membership Director with services and orientation of new Members
- Continual research and communication of policies and operations of all Club amenities and services (in order to better facilitate Member and staff communications)
Skills & Requirements
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Four-year college degree in Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Recreation, or related field is ideal
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple systems at once (e.g. email, phone system, text/chat programming, dining and event reservation programs, Google Suite, etc.)
- Previous hospitality, food & beverage, customer service, or private club experience is strongly preferred
- Must enjoy working in a customer service field and remain polished and professional with Members and staff at all times whether it's on the phone, email, or in person
- Works well with others and is a team player. Willing to chip in and contribute in areas that may not fall within the job role
- Have a flexible "can-do" attitude
- Must be computer literate and have excellent telephone and written etiquette
- Must be available to work 1-2 weekends a month (Schedule is predominantly Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5:00p with alternating weekends amongst MS employees, and flexible scheduling)
- Must have reliable transportation
