Guidance Navigation & Control Engineer (Entry-Level) - Navigation Sys/Inertial Sensor)

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an experienced Entry-Level Flight Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, California to develop and execute requirements definition, flow down, systems design, analysis, design verification and validation, and systems integration and test. You will also ensure flight sensors and actuators hardware meet requirements and are flight ready.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop system architecture solutions.
  • Plan and lead high NRE projects (Non-Recurring Engineering).
  • Resolve technical issues and ensure the spacecraft and system are flight worthy prior to delivery.
  • Develop solutions to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform trade studies to meet program requirements.
  • Assist with analyses to evaluate and optimize total system performance to meet customer and operational needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in El Segundo, CA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. A final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience working with customer program office personnel.
  • Experience in performing trade studies.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Project lead experience.
  • Systems Engineering experience.
  • Experience with C or C++.
  • MATLAB, VBA tool development experience.
