Job Title: Construction Project Support Engineer (Entry Level)

Position Type: Full time, 1st shift Monday Friday, hours will vary between 40-50 per week, paid weekly.

Location: Cleves, OH (on-site) Must be local to the Tri-State area

Reports to: Pre-construction Manager


We are looking for a Project Support Engineer to join our growing team. Job Summary:

The primary function and responsibility of the Project Support Engineer will be learning to be a master of the role they are working towards through providing support to Foremen and Project Managers. The ability to be self-motivated while learning and performing physical field tasks will be an important part of the learning process. Time will be split between our new state-of-the-art office and repair facility and traveling to the various job sites throughout the region.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Permitting; applying, tracking status
  • Submittals; compiling, submitting, tracking approval
  • Developing the specifications for all equipment that is required for each project, includingmaterial ordering
  • Initiating, coordinating, updating utility locations
  • Keeping project documents current and in order
  • Processing project information for effective SES use
  • Analyzing document revisions for changes in scope of work
  • Pricing change order work
  • Collaborating and effectively communicating with customers and employees at all levels
  • Monitoring/responding to email correspondence


Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in Outlook, Excel, Bluebeam, and Word
    • AutoCAD and Procore experience a plus
  • A clear understanding of how to read project specifications and drawings
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational/time management skills
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
  • Works well under pressure and deadline


Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Prior Co-Op / Internship / Trade program experience in construction sitework field
  • Working knowledge of construction and project terminology
  • Experience processing CAD data for field use in Topcon GPS systems
  • Estimating experience is a plus
