Job Description
We're seeking a highly motivated Junior EDI Data Integration Engineer to support the operational functionality of our EDI/B2B systems, including Sterling Integrator. This entry-level role provides an opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of data integration and system maintenance. You'll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to learn and contribute to key operational and support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for EDI/B2B data exchange systems in line with the Master Services Agreement (MSA)
  • Assist in onboarding and transition services for new clients, partners, and environments
  • Help maintain and update key documentation such as:
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Onboarding and Offboarding Tracker
    • Operational, Incident, Change, and Governance Reports
    • Weekly Status Reports and Metrics Reports
    • Monthly Dashboards, RCA, and Outage Reports
  • Monitor incident and service requests and escalate to senior engineers when necessary
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system incidents within SLAs
  • Participate in software release cycles, including coordinating testing and validating changes
  • Conduct proactive system maintenance, including patching and configuration updates
  • Collaborate with the wider team to analyze and document system requirements and processes
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve escalated incidents
  • Support the tracking of incidents and contribute to reporting activities

Requirements
What You Bring:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience: Basic exposure to EDI/B2B systems and integration tools (preferably IBM Sterling Integrator or similar platforms)
  • Skills:
    • Understanding of EDI formats (e.g., X12, EDIFACT), protocols (FTP, SFTP, HTTP), and integration systems
    • Familiarity with ticketing systems, incident management, and change control processes
    • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms, XSD, database management, or integration tools is a plus
