We are a full-service mechanical contractor specializing in CAD and BIM services, commercial and industrial plumbing, process piping, and commercial HVAC systems. We build, renovate, and upgrade, as well as service, maintain, and operate facilities for a full spectrum of clients.
Job Summary
Tucker Mechanical, Inc. is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager. The APM will provide support and documentation for project management. May be assigned to specific area discipline (i.e., submittals, drawings, etc.) or general management. This is the entry level position for project management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Managing project specific document control including but not limited to the following:
    • Job Files
    • Drawing and Specification Management
    • RFI's
    • Submittals
    • Meeting Minutes
    • Daily Reports
  • Review & understand project specifications.
  • Walk jobsite & understand Tucker's systems, installations & field productivity issues.
  • Prepare required documentation for areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Receive data and compile summary reports of activities for management on weekly and monthly basis as required.
  • Inventory, check and inspect materials.
  • Assembly and maintain the accuracy of the project drawings and submittals.
  • Assist in the research and prepare contract design change requests.
  • Prepare T&M billings and PCO proposals. Reconcile internal cost records with submitted T&M vouchers.
  • Attain competency in Tucker's Safety Program and Policies.
  • Review & Understand GC or Owner Schedule.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by the project manager.

Qualifications
Educational and experience requirements include: 4-year engineering degree, construction management degree or equivalent field experience. Beginner's knowledge of mechanical construction equipment, material, drawings, and specifications will be taught. Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills will be essential for further advancement. Sensitive to the essence of time, unwilling to procrastinate, and self-motivated.
