Job description

Coda Search has been a trusted leader in the NYC recruiting landscape for over 15 years, specializing in both contingency and retained search. When considering a career in recruiting, one should understand that recruiters make their living by looking for a needle in a haystack for our clients - the ones who pay our fees. Your success comes from building a network within a highly sought after niche. You create that by outbound phone calls, smart questions, rigorous follow up, and an ongoing dedication to learning understanding your client's industry. While it can be highly lucrative, it takes time to build. Make no mistake, recruiting is a career in sales.

We’re looking to add an entry level Accounting and Finance Recruiter that will join Coda and learn the business through a research role, supporting that vast amount of searches our team is working in. The ultimate goal for the role is to work into a full desk recruiter.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in outbound sales. Internships or experience in the financial services space is a plus. A business acumen in the accounting/finance side of companies large and small.

Why us?

  • Fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere filled with driven and likeable professionals who share in their desire to succeed
  • We treat our recruiters like grown ups - no micro-management with less emphasis on metrics and more focus on production.
  • We have an in-depth training program when you first start, as well as, on-going training and development to help you reach new heights in production.
  • Partner with other our other areas of the business (Technology, Fintech Sales, Human Resources, Staffing, and more) to gain additional monetary incentives
  • Access to multiple available resources (LinkedIn Recruiter, Talent Insights, Zoom Info, Zoom Co-Pilot, Bullhorn SourceBreaker, access to various databases, and more)!

Responsibilities:

  • Beginning in a research capacity, you will build lists of candidates to approach for our high level finance searches.
  • You will research competitive companies and build org charts.
  • Interact with high caliber candidates and clients, including many top tier financial services firms!
  • Recruit top candidates and manage the entire placement process.
  • Prospect and sign new client partners and account manage searches
  • Screen resumes and conduct candidate screens (in-person, virtual and phone)
  • Learn to identify qualifying backgrounds to jobs by researching internal ATS, social media and great tools provided by Coda Search
  • Keep up to to date on ongoing trends and hiring needs; attending conferences, events, etc.
  • Implement ideas and strategies to contribute to the future growth of the team and company.

Background requirements:

  • Business/Accounting/Finance Degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year sales experience
  • Must be commutable to NYC - 530 5th Ave
