  • Client Relationship Management: Build lasting relationships with agricultural producers, agribusinesses, food processors, distributors, and related organizations while serving as a trusted risk management advisor.
  • Sales Achievement: Meet or exceed annual new business and sales velocity targets while contributing to the continued growth of Flood and Peterson's Agriculture Practice.
  • Risk Needs Analysis: Assess operational, property, liability, workforce, transportation, and business risks and recommend tailored insurance and risk management solutions.
  • +Internal Collaboration: Partner with service teams, leadership, and carrier partners to ensure clients receive exceptional service and support.
  • Industry Engagement: Actively participate in agricultural organizations, trade associations, commodity groups, and community initiatives to expand your network and strengthen industry relationships.
  • Marketing & Presentations: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop proposals, presentations, educational content, and campaigns that resonate with agricultural businesses.

What You Bring

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in agriculture, agribusiness, farming and ranching operations, agricultural lending, equipment sales, food production, commodity operations, agricultural services, or commercial insurance serving agricultural clients is preferred.
  • Education and Work Experience: Associate degree (AA) or four to six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
      • Possess and maintain a Colorado Property & Casualty Producer License.
      • Requires current Colorado driver's license and acceptable MVR.
  • Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in business-to-business (B2B) sales, building relationships, generating opportunities, closing business, and achieving performance goals.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with business owners, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Goal-Oriented: Driven to meet and exceed performance targets through proactive client engagement and business development.

Why Join Us?

  •  Impactful Work: Help protect and strengthen Colorado's agricultural businesses through customized risk management solutions.
  • Growth Opportunities: Access ongoing professional development, certifications, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities.
  • Supportive Culture: Join a company that values integrity, gratitude, knowledge, commitment, and impact.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Competitive salary, healthcare benefits, paid time off, volunteer time off, and a strong 401(k) program with company matching.
