The Role
The Warehouseperson/Delivery Driver unloads delivery trucks; sorts, codes, distributes products to assigned locations in warehouse; pulls and prepares product for client orders; loads delivery local trucks/van; delivers products using company van to clients and picks up returns; and participates in regularly scheduled stock inventory.
Shift: 5am-1:30pm

What You Will Do
  • Keeps delivery vehicle fueled in accordance with management instructions and business needs and notifies management of needed repairs.
  • Follows all safety rules and applicable laws when driving and in warehouse.
  • Responsible for maintaining and storing equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet jack, shrink pallet wrapper) in accordance with warehouse guidelines.
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicles and work areas.
  • Accurately interprets various warehouse documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Utilizes forklift, pallet jack and shrink pallet wrapper when unloading or loading trucks and moving product in warehouse and preparing orders for distribution.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Sorts, organizes, and prepares product from receiving or the production areas to storage or to other designated areas, by part and quantity.
  • Verifies accuracy of orders prior to loading van and delivering to clients.
  • Verifies documentation and records incoming products by part and quantity.
  • May use computer or scanning equipment to enter, maintain, locate, and create records.
  • Uses computer to dispatch, confirm client or stock orders and to generate delivery manifests and receiving documents.
  • At times will assist in processing customer orders and invoices using SAP by Design.
  • Utilizes scanner and computer to ensure accurate QR codes, bar scanning with identifying information is on product.
  • Assist with administrative duties when required (Duties include filing, scanning, e-mailing, and other entry level administrative tasks)
  • Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

What It Takes To Be Successful
  • 1-3 years' experience driving Class C Vehicles; delivery experience a plus.
  • Must have a current valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience using Outlook, Excel, and Word a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete equipment and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Ability to speak effectively with clients or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Forklift certified a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
