We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Entry Level Roadway Engineer to join our growing team in Raleigh or Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a full-time opportunity designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is excited to launch their engineering career in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000/year based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

ENTRY LEVEL ROADWAY ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform roadway engineering design tasks for transportation projects from preliminary to final design.
  • Provide engineering design services for traditional design-bid-build projects and design-build transportation projects.
  • Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed engineering drawings and plans for roadway projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including specifications and cost estimates, to facilitate the implementation of roadway projects.
  • Work with senior engineers and other team members to ensure effective communication, coordination, and progress of roadway projects.
  • Stay updated on relevant transportation engineering codes, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ENTRY LEVEL ROADWAY ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 1+ years of roadway design experience
  • Experience working with Municipal or State DOTs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • EIT Certification
  • MicroStation, GEOPAK or OpenRoads software experience.

Core Skills:
  • Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively in team settings.
  • Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a project site.
