POSITION SUMMARY

Subaru Superstore of Chandler, a family-owned and operated automotive dealership, is seeking an Automotive Express Technician to join our Service team. The Express Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and light automotive services efficiently and accurately while following Subaru and dealership standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level or developing technician looking to build automotive experience, receive training, and advance within the Service Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine maintenance services, including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and other express services.

Complete multi-point vehicle inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns.

Inspect and replace air filters, cabin filters, wiper blades, bulbs, and other basic components as needed.

Check and adjust tire pressure and inspect tires for wear or damage.

Check and top off vehicle fluids according to manufacturer specifications.

Perform basic battery testing and replacement when authorized.

Complete assigned services accurately and within established time expectations.

Document all services performed and inspection results accurately.

Notify the Service Advisor or supervisor of additional maintenance or repair needs identified during inspections.

Properly operate vehicle lifts, shop equipment, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Follow all dealerships, manufacturer, OSHA, and safety procedures.

Protect customer vehicles by following dealership vehicle-handling procedures.

Participate in Subaru manufacturer training and dealership development programs.

Work Environment:

May work indoors or outdoors and be exposed to vehicle traffic, varying temperatures, noise, and typical automotive workplace conditions.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous automotive maintenance, lube technician, or dealership experience preferred but not required.

Basic mechanical knowledge and interest in the automotive industry.

Ability and willingness to learn automotive maintenance and repair procedures.

Ability to safely operate automotive tools and shop equipment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment.

Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Must meet company insurance requirements.

Ability to complete required manufacturer and dealership training.

Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced service environment.
