Job summary

Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the set up and running of different (CNC) computer numeric controlled production equipment within the Metals Department.ย  The ability to set appropriate settings and make necessary adjustments; will be a big contribution in completing jobs satisfactorily.ย 

Summary of essential job functions

You will be expected to set up and run high powered metal cutting lasers with minimal supervision; understand and be able to modify CNC code; and to follow established policies/procedures to ensure that appropriate steps are followed and completed enabling to pass 1stย and 2ndย piece inspections.ย  You will be required to take heed to all necessary precautions when using CO2 based machines; follow quality procedures and coordinate issues through appropriate channels.ย  (i.e.) supervisors, managers, sales, QA.. ย ย 

Minimum requirements:

-ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Minimum 3 years experience

-ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to read/understand blue prints

-ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Extensive programming knowledge

-ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Microscope work; (light source inspection)

-ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to use measuring devices; (ie) Verniers, Pin Gage, (CMM

-ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Set up/operate CNC laser machines; IPIโ€™s

-ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Understanding โ€œGโ€ Code
