Job description

NATURE OF WORK

Produces precision components using CNC equipment. Set up, operation and adjusting machinery to fabricate customer components.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up tools and loading of material into CNC machine.

Carry out machining of components.

Recognize and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.

Clearly communicate problems and issues to Supervisor.

Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.

Collects and reports required data.

Comply with quality policies, specifications, and regulations.

Perform daily and regular cleaning tasks on CNC machinery.

Abide by all company safety procedures and personal protection equipment requirements.

All other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Work is performed under the supervision of the Machine Shop Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.

Must be able to read a micrometer/caliper and be familiar with go/no go gauges.

Must be able to read blueprints, to change inserts & able to adjust offsets.
