Job description

Our client is seeking CNC machinists at multiple skill levels for a weekend day schedule producing high-tolerance components. Employees work 36 hours and are paid for 40 hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC mills, mill-turn equipment, and lathes
  • Read engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
  • Use precision measuring and metrology equipment
  • Set machine coordinates and indicate vises
  • Verify part dimensions and quality
  • Maintain expected cycle times
  • Complete production records
  • Follow work instructions and setup requirements

Requirements

  • Previous CNC operator experience or technical training
  • Three years of machine-setup experience for Setup Machinist level
  • Blueprint-reading and hand-tool proficiency
  • Ability to manage priorities and production goals
  • Strong quality orientation and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Aerospace or defense machining experience

Compensation

Machinist I: $22.00-$30.00 per hour; Machinist II: $25.00-$40.00; Setup Machinist: $28.00-$42.00.
