Job description

CNC Plasma Operator

Pay: $24-27/hr. (depending on experience level)

Shift: Mon-Fri (7am to 3:30pm)

Description:

  • The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for running the cutting system that can cut up to 10" thick carbon steel plate and up to 6 1/4" thick stainless steel plate with gantry-type machining center capabilities. The 360-degree contour beveling capabilities lets us cut bevels in steel, aluminum, and many other alloy metals.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience operating cutting equipment in a metal shop with a laser, waterjet, and/or plasma table
  • Ability to work in a safe, cautious manner, exercising care and concern for the people, equipment, and product
  • Knowledge of large material handling
  • Competency in being able to prioritize, make decisions, follow instructions, recognize and adhere to standards of quality
  • Work independently or with others; demonstrating responsible behavior and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance measures to ensure safety of equipment and work environment
  • Knowledge of crane rigging experience with large parts is a huge plus (the overhead crane system has a max lifting capability of 50 tons with 31' height)
  • Ability to read and work off of blueprints
  • Strong math skills
